Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase

Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase

One of the most prestigious boutique yacht shows in the northeast, the Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase to benefit the 12 Metre Yacht Development Foundation, will once again be held at the beautiful DELAMAR Greenwich Harbor. Featuring extraordinary yachts, both power and sail, private aircraft, luxury automobiles, complementary exhibitors, an international beer garden and enticing cuisine. The Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase provides an opportunity for boaters, frequent flyers and auto enthusiasts of all levels of experience to shop for the latest equipment, electronics, clothing, and accessories. The luxury showcase runs Saturday and Sunday, September 10th and 11th with complimentary admission.

On Friday, September 9th a benefit Preview Party will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and entertainment. The admission donation is $75.00 and will benefit The Audubon Society, and help protect and restore Long Island Sound. For tickets and information, click here.

The Fairfield County Concours — two beautiful days, two fantastic events. This year, the concours will feature competition in four featured classes: Porsche, E-Type Jaguar celebrating its 50th year, Woodies, FIVA Preservation, and Barn Finds (judged by balloting of the Concours guests). Once again, the concours will celebrate Car and Motorcycle Clubs on Saturday, along with the Nutmeg Tour for Autism and Bonhams Auction preview. Bonhams will return in 2011 with an even more vehicles and memorabilia on offer on Sunday. Special exhibits this year include Formula 1 Race vehicles, Chrysler hemi-powered vehicles, Isotta Fraschini, and Classic BMW Motorcycles.

4th Annual "Bark in the Park" Dog Walk Fundraiser

On Saturday September 17th, 2011 you and your dog can lend a paw to help homeless animals in our community receive the most precious gift of all - a second chance at love. The main event is a dog walk on the scenic wooded trails of Cranbury Park in Norwalk, CT but there are lots of other activities planned such as vendors, demonstrations, food concession, PAWS merchandise for sale and great prizes for those that participate in the walk. The event includes vendors, activities, food, demonstrations and a dog walk through the Orchard Trail of Cranbury Park. "Bark in the Park" will take place at Cranbury Park in Norwalk, CT on Sat. Antiques, Art & Design at the NY Armory

Antiques, Art & Design at the NY Armory features over 60 international dealers specializing in high quality art and antiques from a wide range of disciplines and eras. Connoisseurs will find world-class French, English, Italian and Continental furniture. Show programming will include exclusive Royal Oak Foundation lectures, interior design and estate jewelry lectures and book signings along with designer panel discussions, including "The Influence of Women in Interior Design" and "Decorating with Antiques in the Modern World" moderated by Susanna Salk. Interior Designers Ellie Cullman and Jamie Drake are co-chairing the Design Committee in an effort to further integrate the Interior Design community into this exciting shopping show. Having a plant or gardening dilemma? Bring any questions or plant samples to the UCONN Master Gardeners for help. This free Plant Clinic is open Monday through Friday throughout the growing season. Starting in May, the clinic is open 9 am to 3 pm Mondays through Thursdays, and 9 am to 12 noon on Fridays.
